Community Outreach

Giving back is a high priority for SHPE DFW. It is our duty to encourage the future generations to become future engineers. Our members serve as inspiration and role models for the DFW community. Join our volunteering efforts today to learn more about the latest opportunities from SHPE DFW and other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) organizations that we partner with.

SHPE Community Outreach Committee

This application is for those interested in joining the SHPE-DFW Community Outreach Committee.
Responsibilities would include:

Meeting with other committee members to brainstorm and plan ideas and events. Meet with stakeholders at partnering schools.
Noche de Ciencias Lead: Lead the efforts of organizing 2 Noche de Ciencias events. Recruit volunteers. Work with Community Service Committee Chair to receive all resources necessary and contact partnering schools
SHPE Jr. Representative: Lead the efforts of organizing SHPE Jr. Clubs at 2 High Schools. Work with Community Service Committee Chair to receive all resources necessary and contact partnering schools.
