Thousands of students, parents, and teachers got together at the Dallas ISD STEM Expo 2018- 2019, the biggest STEM expo in Texas. Our wonderful SHPE volunteers hosted three activities to introduce students to the fields of Civil, Electrical, and Chemical engineering! We had a blast! Thanks to everyone who volunteered! Events like this are not possible without you.
SHPE DFW is incredibly honored to have HDR be our newest DFW Community Partner & Chapter Sponsor.
HDR lead a Resume Workshop accompanied with Mock Interviews February 4th at the SMU chapter for all SHPE DFW local chapters. Several HDR professionals presented, provided their own insights, career paths, advice, and one-on-one mentorship to professionals and students who attended the event. SHPE familia thoroughly enjoyed the event and left with more confidence in their interviewing skills and ability to land a job. We look forward to future events with our HDR familia with a civil engineering focus and possible site visit in the near future. To find out more about HDR & their career opportunities, visit https://www.hdrinc.com/careers The SHPE DFW GLEDA program hosted a mentor panel workshop at Mercado 369 on February 15th. The mentor panel consisted of Manolo Rios, Gabino Hernandez, Andrea Shinn, Fernando Ceballos and Brianne Martin.
