SHPE DFW presents the GLEDA Program Kick-off event of 2018! This event will bring GLEDA mentors and mentees together for a fun afternoon over wine glasses (Soft drinks and appetizers will also be available). All current chapter members or non-members are welcome to join us at this event for networking opportunities.

 SHPE-DFW will be volunteering at the 4th Annual back to school festival. Come out and Help us out inspiring Kids with STEM while they go back to school. This event will take place on Saturday, August 18, from 9 AM-12 PM at Glendale Park (1515 E Ledbetter Dr, Dallas, TX 75216).

Job Opporuntity for the the SHPE DFW Familia. Joyce Williams, Vice Chancellor of Workforce and Economic Affairs, Dallas County Community College, has been approached by a business that is looking for a bilingual accounting student to hire for $50,000 per year plus full benefits. They only need to have completed their first two accounting courses. This company will create a flex schedule so that the student can complete their associates’ degree.
