Greg Hutton is Sr. Manager, Corporate Technology and Virtualization Planning responsible for Global IP network design, architecture and new technology introduction. In this role, he also leads the transformation of core VoIP network functions into Verizon’s Cloud Platform (VCP). Prior to his current assignment, Greg served in many positions of varied responsibility including: VP Operations at Valiant Networks, Director, Technology Integration at WilTel, Sr. Director, Technology Integration at Ricochet Networks, Architectural lead for Verizon's Private IP (PIP) NetworkGreg is an advocate and perpetual sponsor for Verizon’s summer intern, campus direct and Verizon Leadership Development Programs (VLDP) for which he’s an alumni member. He’s a Core Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, a Verizon Ambassador for NSBE and serves on the National Board for the Consortium for Information and Telecommunications Executives (CITE, now called BRAVE).

Uche Maple received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, MBA from University of Phoenix and her M.S. in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. She is a Sr. Engineering Manager at Rockwell Collins, where she manages systems engineers. Her specialty includes manufacturing, architecture development, systems engineering and project management. Uche is very passionate about mentoring people in their careers and helping people strive to be their best in any endeavor.

Kathy Hubbard is the Director of the Hart Center for Engineering Leadership at Southern Methodist University’s Lyle School of Engineering. Kathy leads the school’s effort to develop the 21st Century Engineer. In this role, she develops curriculum and programs to improve students’ communication skills, problem solving capabilities and innovativeness. Kathy works with engineering faculty to integrate leadership content into the engineering courses and she facilitates work opportunities and mentoring relationships for the school’s 1500 engineering and computer science majors.
She is a certified executive coach and has worked with executives and managers from DART, Texas Instruments, UpLift Education and other organizations. Kathy has also worked with the Center for Creative Leadership to develop youth and early career leadership development programs. Kathy serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for St. Philip’s School & Community Center in South Dallas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters in Education Leadership & Policy from the Simmons School of Education at SMU. Kathy is married to Michael Hubbard and is mother of two wonderful sons, Michael and Elijah. |
Dr. David Arreaga is the CEO of Ares Materials, a company developing and commercializing novel polymer materials for flexible displays for the next generation mobile, wearable and embedded electronics. Before co-founding Ares Materials, David did his graduate research at the University of Texas at Dallas where he obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. His work in the fields of thin film lithium ion batteries and flexible neural interfaces was published in some of the most prestigious journals in the field of materials science. As the CEO of Ares, David’s job is to lead the development of the company by leveraging a talented team of scientist and business experts to maximize the value and impact of the venture while cultivating a culture of innovation and critical thinking.

Kim Cummings, SCP, SPHR is assistant vice president, Human Resources and Diversity at BNSF Railway1. In this role, Kim has responsibility for BNSF Railway’s diversity and inclusion efforts. She also provides leadership to the HR matrix teams supporting Law, Compliance and Audit Services, and Technology Services. Kim splits her time on several boards that include: the University of Texas Arlington Human Resource Advisory Board, Girls Inc. of Tarrant County, the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), the Source of Hope and the DFW Multicultural Alliance. Kim has spent over 20 years in leadership roles encouraging and promoting employee engagement in companies that include Belo (Broadcast Media), Burger King Corporation, Dell and Target Corporation. Kim has received numerous community service and is a leadership recipient of the 2012 “HR Professional of the Year” designation by Ogletree Deakins Law Firm and the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, 2015 DiversityFIRST™ Award from the National Diversity Council and named 2016 Texas Most Powerful Business Women by Texas Diversity Magazine. Kim received her Bachelor degree in Social Work from Texas State University graduating from the University’s Emerging Leader program and was inducted into Who’s Who in College & Universities students. Kim received her Master degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds a Senior Professional designation in Human Resources and certified employee relations credentials. Kim is a professional member of the Fort Worth Human Resources Group and National Society of Human Resource Management. In her spare time, Kim participates in half-marathons, teaches Human Resources Certification courses, volunteers with the Dallas Women’s Foundation – Orchid Giving Circle, Meed Center YouLead Global Youth Leadership program, Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA-DFW, Grapevine/Colleyville School District Diversity Advisory Council, United Way of Tarrant County, and speaks at local universities on the topics of diversity and human resources
